When our children needed support with speech and language, we were extremely fortunate to meet Mrs. Garrison. We could not have asked for a better speech and language therapist for our daughter and son. Mrs. Garrison is professional and extremely caring. She also has excellent skills in communication and builds trusting relationships with her students. From the beginning, she demonstrated a sensitivity to our children’s unique differences, thoroughly planned lessons that supported their learning objectives and was dedicated to their successes. She takes the time to plan and customize lessons to fit the personality and attention span of each of her students. Our children loved the fun activities and games incorporated into the lessons she structured and planned. Both children made steady progress and reached their speech and language goals in a timely manner. I don’t think we could have found a more dedicated speech and language therapist. We started working with Courtney when first my son and then my daughter had trouble producing the r sound in words. My son really like the way Courtney explained how he should place his tongue in order to make the sound. She gave great examples and was very patient. My daughter loved working with Courtney. Courtney was so kind and worked so well to provide practice and understand how upsetting it can be when others don’t understand you. Both of my children grew so much working with Courtney.

Our daughter started Speech and Language Therapy sessions with Courtney when she was 3 years old and within a year, we are amazed at the tremendous progress she’s made. It’s been transformative. Courtney is engaging, attentive, patient and kind. She truly goes above and beyond – each session is tailored to our daughter’s interests and motivation and through play, she has learned to how to effectively communicate. They have established a strong and genuine relationship, so much so that our daughter doesn’t want each session to end. She looks forward to seeing her every week.
